Samson B. Alcantara, Jr.

Mr. Alcantara currently heads the Firm's Labor Group.

Mr. Alcantara co-authored the book Philippine Labor & Social Legislation (Annotated), which is a comprehensive compilation of and commentary on laws, jurisprudence, executive issuances and administrative rules and regulations pertaining to employment and labor relations.

He also handles labor litigation cases before the various agencies of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) such as the National Labor Relations Commission, National Conciliation and Mediation Board, and Office of the Secretary of Labor and Employment, as well as appellate cases before the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court. He likewise represents clients in a number of collective bargaining negotiations and other labor union-related activities. In addition, he assists clients with their alien employment and/or immigration related concerns and represents them before the DOLE and the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation.

Mr. Alcantara provides counseling on employment and labor relations matters to various local and foreign clients including banking and financial institutions, insurance companies, hotels and restaurants, advertising and promotion agencies, information technology firms, contact centers and business process outsourcing companies, schools and colleges, retail and wholesale trade establishments, manufacturing firms and construction companies.

Samson B. Alcantara, Jr. [Sammy] was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1998. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1997 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics in 1991 from the University of the Philippines where he graduated as a Dean's Medalist.
